Alarm System Permits
Registering your alarm system with the Raritan Township Police Department assures that we have your emergency contact information should we find a problem at your business or residence. Applications for alarm system registration can be picked up at police headquarters. Please contact Office Manager Lillian McDermott at 908-782-8889, Extension 3324, for additional information.
Handicapped Parking Permits
Residents with a temporary handicap who require a 6 month temporary handicapped parking permit should apply at the Raritan Township Police Department. Obtain an application form from police headquarters, have it signed by your physician, and return it to police headquarters along with your Driver's License and Vehicle Registration. The temporary handicapped parking permit is valid for 6 month and costs $4.00. The permit will generally be ready for pick-up from the police desk within 24 hours.
Residents with permanent disabilities may obtain either a permanent handicapped parking permit (windshield tag) or handicapped license plates. There is no charge for either. You must obtain the forms from police headquarters then mail the completed application to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Services.
