Officer Biographies

 

Chief Alfred C. Payne III #38:  Chief Payne became a police officer with the Raritan Township Police Department in 1996.  In 2007, he was promoted to Sergeant and in 2013, he was promoted to Lieutenant.  In 2018, he was appointed Chief of Police.  Chief Payne served with the United States Marine Corps, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, and a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources.


Lieutenant Thomas Camporeale #42:  In 1996, Lieutenant Camporeale became a police officer with the Raritan Township Police Department after working as a special police officer with the Seaside Heights Police Department.  During his career, he has been assigned to the Patrol Division, the Detective Bureau, and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force.  Lieutenant Camporeale is currently the Administrative Command Officer for the police department.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources.



Lieutenant Joseph Canonica #49:  Lieutenant Canonica began his career with the Raritan Township Police Department in 2000.  During his career, he has been assigned as a patrol officer, traffic officer, and patrol supervisor.  He is currently assigned as a Patrol Commander.  Lieutenant Canonica is a member of the Hunterdon County Fatal Collision Investigation Team.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources.



Sergeant Scott Nelson #53:  Sergeant Nelson became a police officer with the Raritan Township Police Department in 2003.  He is currently assigned as a patrol supervisor in the Patrol Division.  Sergeant Nelson is a firearms instructor and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Master of Arts degree in Business Administration.


Sergeant Robert Landolina #46:  In 1999, Sergeant Landolina was hired by the Raritan Township Police Department after working for the Pennington Police Department for 1 year.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division as a patrol supervisor.  Sergeant Landolina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.


Sergeant David Carson #48:  In 1999, Sergeant Carson was hired by the Raritan Township Police Department after working for the Fanwood Police Department and the Mountain Lakes Police Department for 2 years.  He is currently assigned as a patrol supervisor.  Sergeant Carson maintains the police department website, is a Drug Recognition Expert, and is certified as a bicycle patrol officer.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration.



Detective Sergeant Ryan Garbolino #56:  In 2006, Detective Sergeant Garbolino became a police officer with the Raritan Township Police Department after working 2 years for the Town of Clinton Police Department.  During his career, he has been assigned to the Patrol Division and the Detective Bureau.  Detective Sergeant Garbolino is currently assigned as the Detective Bureau supervisor; he is also a firearms instructor.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources.



Corporal William Cialone #50:  In 2000, Corporal Cialone became a police officer with the Raritan Township Police Department.  During his career, he has been assigned to the Patrol Division and the Detective Bureau.  Corporal Cialone is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources.



Corporal Christopher Vallat #52:  In 2001, Corporal Vallat was hired by the Raritan Township Police Department.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  Corporal Vallat is an Emergency Medical Technician, Drug Recognition Expert, and CPR Instructor.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources.



Corporal Michael Dendis #40:  Corporal Dendis was hired by the Raritan Township Police Department in 1996 after working as a special police officer with the Seaside Heights Police Department.  During his career, he has been assigned to the Patrol Division and the Detective Bureau.  Corporal Dendis is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.



Detective Corporal Scott Iglay #55:  Detective Corporal Iglay began his career with the Raritan Township Police Department in 2005.  He is currently assigned to the Detective Bureau and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering.



Corporal Brian Sutherland #51:  Corporal Sutherland began his career with the Raritan Township Police Department in 2001.  Corporal Sutherland is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources.



Detective Margaret Hammond #44:  In 1999, Detective Hammond began her career with the Raritan Township Police Department.  During her career, she has been assigned to the Patrol Division, the Detective Bureau, and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force.  She is currently assigned to the Detective Bureau.  Officer Hammond holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Science and is the Raritan Township PBA Local #337 Delegate.



School Resource Officer Timothy Nemeth #45:  Officer Nemeth became a police officer with the Raritan Township Police Department in 1999.  During his career, he has been assigned to the Detective Bureau, the Community Policing Section as a D.A.R.E. Instructor, and to Hunterdon Central Regional High School as a School Resource Officer.  Officer Nemeth is currently assigned to Hunterdon Central Regional High School as the school resource officer.  He is a CPR Instructor and Firearms Instructor.  Officer Nemeth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources.



Officer Aaron Roth #57:  Officer Roth was hired with the Raritan Township Police Department in 2007 and is currently assigned to the Patrol Division and is a firearms instructor.  He served four years with the United States Army and is a Kosovo Peace Keeping Mission combat veteran.  Officer Roth also holds an Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.



Officer Ryan Barry #59:  In 2013, Officer Barry began his career with the Raritan Township Police Department.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  Officer Barry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Justice Studies and a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources.  Officer Barry is also the Raritan Township PBA Local #337 President.



Detective Geoffrey Benz #60:  Detective Benz was hired with the Raritan Township Police Department in 2013 after working briefly for the Hunterdon County Sheriff's Department.  Detective Benz holds a Bachelor of Science degree.



Officer Brett Szatkowski #62:  Officer Szatkowski was hired by the Raritan Township Police Department in 2013.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division and is a firearms instructor.  Officer Szatkowski holds a Bachelor of Arts degree.



Officer Dustin Pflug #63:  In 2013, Officer Pflug became a police officer with the Raritan Township Police Department.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  Officer Pflug holds a Bachelor of Arts degree.



Officer Scott Phibbs #66:  In 2015, Officer Phibbs was hired by the Raritan Township Police Department.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  Officer Phibbs holds a Bachelor of Science degree.



Officer Michael Podlaski #67:  Officer Podlaski became a police officer with the Raritan Township Police Department in 2015.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  Officer Podlaski holds a Bachelor of Science degree.



Officer Anthony Moreno #68:  In 2015, Officer Moreno was hired by the Raritan Township Police Department after working as a Class II Special Officer for the Essex County Sheriff's Department.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division, is a Drug Recognition Expert, and is certified as a Field Training Officer.  Officer Moreno holds a Bachelor of Science degree.



Officer Adam Swiatek #69:  Officer Swiatek was hired by the Raritan Township Police Department in 2015.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  Officer Swiatek holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is an Emergency Medical Technician.



Officer Brian Mayer #70:  In 2016, Officer Mayer was hired by the Raritan Township Police Department after working as a Class II Special Officer for the Seaside Heights Police Department.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  Officer Mayer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.



Officer William McEnroe #71:  Officer McEnroe began his career with the Raritan Township Police Department in 2016.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  Officer McEnroe holds a Bachelor of Arts degree.



Officer Eli Walters #72:  In 2016, Officer Walters was hired by the Raritan Township Police Department.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  Officer Walters holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology.



Officer Ismael Mendez-Ortiz #73:  Officer Mendez-Ortiz began his career with the Raritan Township Police Department in 2017.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division and is fluent in Spanish.  Officer Mendez-Ortiz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in National Security Studies.



Officer Connor Gallagher #74:  In 2017, Officer Gallagher was hired by the Raritan Township Police Department.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  Officer Gallagher holds a Bachelor of Science degree.



Officer Robert Schenck #75:  Officer Schenck was hired in 2018 by the Raritan Township Police Department after working for 18 months with the Rutgers University Police Department.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  Officer Schenck holds an Associate degree in Political Science and he is a 4-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps.



Officer Alex Soh #76:  Officer Soh became a police officer with the Raritan Township Police Department in 2018.  Previously, he worked for the Rutgers University Police Department for 18 months and as a seasonal Class I and Class II police officer in Lavallette, New Jersey for 6 years.  Officer Soh is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources Management and is fluent in Korean.

 

Officer Phillip Canale #77:  In 2019, Officer Canale was hired by the Raritan Township Police Department after working 3 years with the Flemington Borough Police Department.  He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.  Officer Canale holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and is an Emergency Medical Technician.
