Raritan Twp Police Dept Press Release: June 5, 2019

On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 1143 PM-Police arrested Robert J. Smith, age 36, of Hartford, Connecticut for Possession of under fifty grams of Marijuana. Smith was stopped for performing an illegal U-Turn on State Highway Route 31. Smith was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Investigation and arrest conducted by Ptl. Brett Szatkowski.

On Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 1:00 PM-Police arrested Justin J. Jantoro, age 21, of Titusville, N.J., for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Marijuana in an amount of less than fifty grams. Jantoro was stopped for operating a vehicle with an obstructed license plate on State Highway Route 202/31. Jantoro was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. On Saturday, May 25, 2019, 11:40 AM-Police arrested Leonides B. Bones-Ortiz, age 23, of Philadelphia, for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Marijuana in an amount less than fifty grams. Bones-Ortiz was stopped for speeding, 70 in a 55 mph zone, on State Highway Route 202/31. Bones-Ortiz was also issued a summons for Careless Driving. Investigation and arrest conducted by Cpl. On Sunday, May 26, 2019, at 12:33 AM-Police arrested Raymond Whitlock, age 55, of Belle Mead, N.J., for Driving under the Influence. Whitlock was stopped on Voorhees Corner Road for speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph. Whitlock was charged with Driving under the Influence, Failure to Maintain Lane, Speeding, and Reckless Driving. After processing was completed, Whitlock was released to a family member. Investigation and arrest conducted by Ptl. Robert Schenck.

On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at 4:45 PM-Police arrested Christopher Mitchko, age 21, of Flemington for Driving under the Influence. Mitchko was charged with Driving under the Influence, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, Unsafe Vehicle, and Unsafe Tires. Investigation and arrest conducted by Ptl. Connor Gallagher.

On Friday, May 31, 2019, at 2:40 PM-Police arrested Peter J. Custy, age 18, of Flemington, for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, under fifty grams of Marijuana. Custy was found swimming in an area off River Road that was private property. Custy was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and issued a summons for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Motor Vehicle. Investigation and arrest conducted by Sgt. On Saturday, June 1, 2019, at 11:12 PM, Police arrested Madeline Mondoro, age 20, of Ringoes, and Kari E. Jensen, age 20 of Flemington. Mondoro was stopped by police for operating a motor vehicle without headlights on Sand Hill Road and found to be in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, under fifty grams of Marijuana. Mondoro was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jensen was a passenger in the vehicle and charged with Possession of a Fraudulent Document, a fake driver's license. On Sunday, June 2, 2019, at 11:58 AM-Police were called to the Shop Rite in Flemington for a reported shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, police arrested, Peter Alicandri, age 55, of Flemington, and charged him with Shoplifting $30.00 worth of store merchandise. Investigation and arrest conducted by Ptl. Anthony Moreno.
