Monday, December 11, 2017 @ approximately 3:17 PM - Police arrested Rodolfo A. Porras-Romero, age 28 of Somerville, NJ and Colin E. Harrison, age 23 of Manville, NJ and charged each with shoplifting from Kohl's on Rt. 202. Police were initially called to the store by a loss prevention employee who observed Porras-Romero and Harrison conceal store merchandise on their persons which they left the store without paying for. Porras-Romero was charged with shoplifting - value greater than $500.00 but less than $75,000.00. He was additionally charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (cocaine and heroin) and possession of a hypodermic syringe. Harrison was charged with shoplifting - value greater than $500.00 but less than $75,000.00. He was additionally charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (cocaine and heroin), possession of a hypodermic syringe and hindering his own apprehension. The store merchandise, identified as electronics, was recovered. Both subjects were found to have active warrants for their arrest issued out of other jurisdictions. They were both turned over to the Hunterdon County Sheriff's Department, to be lodged in the Somerset County Jail, on the charges out of Raritan Township. Investigation and arrests by P.O. Friday, December 15, 2017 @ approximately 11:11 PM - Police arrested Michael K. Dignazio, age 30 of Trenton, NJ and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol following a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 202. Dignazio was initially stopped for failure to maintain lane control. He was issued additional motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain lane control, careless driving and reckless driving. The vehicle was towed and Dignazio was released to a family member after processing at police headquarters. Investigation and arrest by P.O. Margaret Hammond.

Sunday, December 17, 2017 @ approximately 10:10 PM - Police arrested Obiajulu Joseph Nnadike, age 24 of Glenn Dale, MD and charged him with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 202/31. Nnadike was initially stopped for failure to signal lane change. He was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to signal lane change and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. Nnadike was released after processing at police headquarters. Investigation and arrest by P.O. Anthony Moreno.

Friday, December 22, 2017 @ approximately 5:58 AM - Police arrested Walter L. Smith, age 58 of Hamilton, NJ and charged him with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 202/31. Smith was initially stopped for speeding. He was also issued motor vehicle summonses for speeding and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. Smith was released after processing at police headquarters. Sunday, December 24, 2017 @ approximately 4:09 PM - Police arrested Matthew L. Dambach, age 26 of Readington Township, and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol following a single vehicle crash in the parking lot of Walmart on Rt.31. Police were initially called to the area for a report of a single vehicle crash. Dambach was found to be the operator and sole occupant of the single vehicle involved and did not report any injuries. He was issued additional motor vehicle summonses for reckless driving and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. Dambach was also charged criminally with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (cocaine) and possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. The vehicle was towed and Dambach was released to a friend after processing at police headquarters. Investigation and arrest by P.O. Scott Phibbs.

Tuesday, December 26, 2017 @ approximately 5:24 AM - Police arrested Quasim Kathrada, age 42 of West Trenton, NJ and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol following a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of the Shoppes at Flemington. Kathrada was initially stopped for speeding, failure to signal turn and improper turn on Rt. 202/31. He was issued additional motor vehicle summonses for failure to signal turn, improper turn, reckless driving and careless driving. The vehicle was towed and Kathrada was released to a friend after processing. Investigation and arrest by P.O. Anthony Moreno.

Tuesday, December 26, 2017 @ approximately 9:50 PM - Police arrested Victoria V. Paul, age 24 and Jamila L. Paul, age 23, both of Raritan Township and charged each with offenses following a motor vehicle stop on Voorhees Corner Road. Victoria was initially stopped for following too close and failure to maintain lane control. She was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while suspended, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle. Victoria was found to have an active warrant issued for her arrest out of Sea Girt Municipal Court ($707.00 bail). Sea Girt Police Department elected to release Victoria on her own recognizance with a new court date. Jamila was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated assault on a police officer and resisting arrest. Thursday, December 28, 2017 @ approximately 1:01 AM - Police arrested Tiffany D. Larison, age 40 of Croydon, PA and charged her with driving under the influence of alcohol following a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 31. Larison was initially stopped for failure to dim multiple beam headlamps and speeding. She was issued additional motor vehicle summons for failure to dim multiple beam headlamps, speeding, reckless driving, driving while suspended, open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle. Larison was also charged criminally with possession of handcuffs. The vehicle was towed and Larison was released to a friend after processing at police headquarters. Investigation and arrest by P.O. Thursday, December 28, 2017 @ approximately 11:18 PM - Police arrested Scott Soares, age 30 of New Bedford, MA and charged him with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 202/31. Soares was initially stopped for having a headlight out and making an illegal U-turn. Soares was also issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps, improper turn on a divided highway and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. He was released after processing at police headquarters. Investigation and arrest by Cpl. Christopher Vallat.

Friday, December 29, 2017 @ approximately 3:58 PM - Police arrested Andrea N. Stefanis, age 48 of Old Bridge, NJ and charged her with shoplifting from Walmart on Rt.31. On Wednesday, December 13 at approximately 3:50 PM, police were called to the Walmart on Rt.31 for a report of shoplifting suspects that had fled the area in a vehicle. Further investigation identified Stefanis and Nicole D. Sollena, age 42 of Egg Harbor Township, NJ as suspects. The stolen property was identified as baby formula and diapers with a retail value in excess of $500.00, but less than $75,000.00. During the course of the investigation, warrants were issued for both Stefanis and Sollena, charging each with shoplifting. Both subjects were entered in NCIC as Wanted Persons. On Friday, December 29, Raritan Township Police Detectives were contacted by the Union County Police Department who advised they had Stefanis in custody on the NCIC Wanted Person Entry out of Raritan Township. Union County Police transferred custody of Stefanis to Raritan Township Detectives. Stefanis' arrest was processed at police headquarters after which she was turned over to the Hunterdon County Sheriff's Department to be lodged in the Somerset County Jail. The investigation is pending the apprehension of Sollena. Initial investigation by P.O. Connor Gallagher. Follow-up investigation and arrest by Det. Brian Sutherland.

Sunday, December 31, 2017 @ approximately 12:30 AM - Police arrested Elias Molina, age 38 of Bound Brook, NJ and charged him with hindering his own apprehension following contact with him in the parking lot of the Travel Inn on Rt. 202. Police were initially patrolling the parking lot when they stopped to check on an unoccupied, running vehicle there. Police made contact with Molina who initially provided false identifying information to conceal the fact that he had an active traffic warrant issued for his arrest out of Bound Brook Municipal Court ($253.00 bail). Molina was processed at police headquarters. He posted bail on the warrant out of Bound Brook and was released. Investigation and arrest by Sgt. Robert Landolina.

Monday, January 1, 2018 @ approximately 12:28 AM - Police arrested Thomas R. Jeffas, Jr., age 55 of Raritan Township and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol following a motor vehicle stop on Shippen Court. Jeffas was initially stopped for failure to maintain lane control. He was issued additional motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain lane control, open alcoholic beverage container in a moto vehicle and careless driving. The vehicle was towed and Jeffas was released to a friend after processing. Investigation and arrest by P.O. Dustin Pflug.

Wednesday, January 3, 2018 @ approximately 4:12 PM - Police arrested Jake A. Martorano, age 20 of Raritan Township and charged him with criminal mischief - damage causing loss in excess of $500.00 but less than $2,000.00 following an investigation. On November 30, 2017 police took a report from township residents who reported damage to the convertible roof of their 2010 Ford Mustang. Through an investigation Martorano was identified as a suspect and was ultimately charged. He was released after processing at police headquarters. Investigation and arrest by Det. Brain Sutherland.

Saturday, January 6, 2018 @ approximately 12:06 AM - Police arrested Amber M. Brock, age 22 of Edison, NJ and Sasha M. Zapatier, also age 22 of Flemington, NJ and charged each with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of less than 5 grams of hashish and possession of drug paraphernalia following contact with them in the parking lot of the Travel Inn on Rt. 202. Brock and Zapatier were passengers in a suspicious vehicle which police stopped to check on in the parking lot there. Both were released after processing at police headquarters. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 @ approximately 2:06 AM - Police arrested Marvin Fanfan, age 26 of Maplewood, NJ and charged him with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 202. Fanfan was initially stopped for tinted windows, failure to keep right and failure to maintain lane control. He was issued motor vehicle summonses for tinted windows, failure to keep right, failure to maintain lane control, unclear plates, maintenance of lamps, failure to make repairs and re-inspect and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. The vehicle was towed and Fanfan was released from police headquarters after processing. Investigation and arrest by P.O. William McEnroe III.

Tuesday, January 9, 2018 @ approximately 7:15 PM - Police arrested Justin R. Ernst, age 25 of Hillsborough, NJ and charged him with obstructing the administration of law following contact with him at Hunterdon Medical Center (HMC). Police were initially called to HMC by security for a report of two males, who were visiting a patient, that were causing a disturbance. During the course of the investigation into the complaint, Ernst refused to identify himself to police. He was subsequently charged and was ultimately released after processing at police headquarters. Investigation and arrest by P.O. Aaron Roth.

Thursday, January 11, 2018 @ approximately 12:55 AM - Police arrested Hasson K. Lindsey, age 37 of Sicklerville, NJ and charged him with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 202/31. Lindsey was initially stopped for having a tail light out on the vehicle that he was driving. He was also issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. Lindsey was released after processing at police headquarters. Investigation and arrest by P.O. Connor Gallagher.
