Raritan Twp Police Dept Press Release: August 8, 2017

Friday, August 4, 2017 @ approximately 11:02 PM - Police arrested Michael C. Johnson, age 55 of Branchburg, NJ and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol following a motor vehicle stop on Church Street Extension. Johnson was initially stopped for failure to maintain lane control and improper right turn. He was issued additional motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain lane control, improper right turn, reckless driving and open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle. The vehicle was towed and Johnson was released to a family member after processing. Investigation and arrest by P.O. Adam Swiatek.

Saturday, August 5, 2017 @ approximately 11:49 PM - Police arrested Katlyn T. Lederer, age 22 of Macungie, PA and Edgar A. Cardenas, age 23 of Philadelphia, PA and charged each with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 202/31. Lederer was initially stopped for having a brake light out on the vehicle that she was driving. She was also issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. Lederer and Cardenas were both released after processing at police headquarters. Investigation and arrests by P.O. Adam Swiatek.

Sunday, August 6, 2017 @ approximately 3:25 AM - Police arrested William J. Davis, age 44 of Gainesville, FL and Raymond Claudio, age 58 of Interlachen, FL and charged each with narcotics offenses following a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 202/31. Davis was initially stopped for an obstructed view. Both subjects were charged with possession of crystal methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) with intent to distribute, possession of psilocybin mushrooms with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic syringes. Davis was additionally charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and was issued motor vehicle summonses for obstructed view and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. The vehicle was towed and both Davis and Claudio were turned over to the Hunterdon County Sheriff's Department to be lodged in the Somerset County Jail. Investigation and arrests by P.O.
